Curse-Rotted Greatwood was the first boss that made me think "uhhh, am I supposed to fight this yet?" Crystal Sage was fucking stupid and so far was the hardest boss fight for me. Did not expect an Artorias type (Abyss Watchers) so early in the game, that was mighty intimidating and was the only one (sans Aldrich, but does this count?) that I used an NPC summon for so far. I was not expecting half the shit the Deacons threw at me, I ended up using all 11 +6 estus flasks plus an ember on this boss (Yes, I had trouble on this games equivalent to pinwheel). For some reason Wolnir couldn't hit me when I was backed up all the way to the end of the arena? Old Demon King was a boss I fought twice already but buff. Pontiff was fucking INSANE and I am SO glad I didn't have to deal with that more than once, that shadow was fucking crazy. Yhorm went from "what in the FUCK am I dealing with here" to "OH, right, it's one of THESE bosses" real quick. Aldrich gave me some fucking trouble, took me at least 12-13 tries. Then I found out that fighting him with Anri wasn't the actual boss battle. I was so pissed that I first tried him by myself.
The Dancer so far is what the Pontiff fight should have been for me.
