in general, the little icon to the left of the thread tag will have a grey dot if youve posted in it

the plugin that exists for notifications should be able to alert you when you get a reputation change, when you are mentioned or quoted, maybe (hopefully) when a post is liked, and is possible it would even tell you when someone replies

this is different than choosing to seek out the threads specifically, i know. for what you're asking it is possible but im not immediately aware of a solution
