To be realistic, peoples' worlds are only so big and care about their own life. Im gonna assume you dont care about the plight of Christians in Syria on the daily, because thats not your world.

I believe, and im not the rest of society or America, so for what its worth, I believe this attack is on the level of Sandy Hook.
I think this attack will make changes, even in gun laws.

i believe this attack could have been prevented with common sense gun laws (he bought his guns only a few days before)

i believe there is still homophobia in this country but hopefully improving, yet i think the Middle East's hatred for gays is more lethal, and that makes me afraid more people will be influenced/supported by ISIS while living in America. I think this is why Islam is a factor in this massacre, because the ruling cultures and powers at be in the middle east and how they enforce law through the guise of Islam

He also claimed he was affiliated with alquaida and hezzbollah. Those three groups really don't like eachother, he wasn't affiliated with any of them, he was just a mental case. 

It's also being reported that he was a regular at the bar and was on gay dating apps. It sounds less like religious extremist terrorism than it does some nutjob snapped and shot up a place for who knows what reason.
