ok im done with kh 1 2 n 3

my kh3 review: i thought the game was oddly very self-aware. it knew how complex the plot was and i think leaned into it, introduced new stuff while doubling down on the emotional mumbo jumbo

i thought the general plot (re-make the organization) was an interesting idea but it didn't really deviate far from the most basic consequences

that is, i didn't exactly guess how everything ended specifically but basically, the good guys make it out and the bad guys come back. it's not really that new or inventive i guess.

as far as gameplay is concerned, it's beautiful. i think there should be more content, but ive been spoiled by games that have a FINAL MIX version with tons of endgame stuff

overall id say

pros:
-visually nice
-gameplay/combat is really fun, which is cool because in the side games combat was floaty and bad and people were really scared that this would turn out ugly
-the story didn't disappoint in that i got what i showed up for (random tropes and dumb shit)
-there is an option for everything. loved that i could turn off flowmotion to get more AP, then turn it back on later. liked being able to swap keyblades mid-combo, liked all the little features

cons:
-game seemed VERY easy. played on proud, there is no critical mode yet so we'll see how that goes
-every game has "collect em all" mechanics but i dont need YET ANOTHER GAME with a camera in it that you can use to take pictures. im a big pokemon snap fanboy and i remember a time when i thought it was so cool that metal gear solid had a camera and you can snap photos but im over it. every game does it. really bugged me that collection amounted to chests and hidden mickeys. also some of the hidden mickeys were utter bullshit goddamn
-was a bit light on disney worlds compared to other games, no FF characters. DLC could change this
-this is probably my biggest gripe, but in disney worlds usually the boss is the villain of the disney movie, or something. villains relevant to the plot just appear to taunt sora and then leave... and then you fight a big heartless. that isn't 100% of the time but it did bum me out

the grapple mechanic is great and the combat is fluid/satisfying

I am glad my friend decided to blow $60 and buy it for me

i too have been playing some apex legends, it's pretty fun, though i'm not particularly good.

Just got it too, having a blast. The addition of a pause button is so nice but I'm still having trouble internalizing it lol. I constantly have to stop playing to do minor stuff and it's refreshing for that not to mean "well I guess I'm dead now"

i got him by just staying as close as possible but kind of towards the back of the horse. his attacks are easier to see and deflect and you don’t get camera souls’d so bad. same with the bull, stay, close i think i managed that one without getting hit
