i care about the people and community that is related to this forum, but as it stands i am its administrator and ive decided that this particular forum in this forum is moderated and should stay on topic. this isn't a recent development, this has been the case from day 1. as content has dwindled and ive got distracted we have got lax and now that im trying to get back into reading it and keeping up to date, i see how bad it is

by that i mean, personal attacks about belief (rather than the topic at hand) being thrown around. it just isnt constructive or interesting and i can imagine that those who have 0 tolerance for it are deterred from talking because when they open their mouth, someone can pop in and say "but youre a neo-anarcho-phlebotemist so shut up sweetie" without actually making any attempt at discussion. i am speaking for myself as well as others, who care enough to complain but not enough to act. me caring more than others is also not news

if you, or anyone, feels like you are very correct, very important, and that is that then you are not open to a discussion and you do not belong on a discussion forum. discussions are not a puzzle for you to solve and 'win'. they do not end when you can afford to dismiss that person by labeling them properly. i hate that and i will ban people who just post to mock people. if you do that, i will ban you and you will in fact not be free to post in the forum. this goes for absolutely anyone. this has always been true ideally, we've just been kind of lax on it and im sorry to anyone who misunderstood due to that

as for the thread relevance: you said i replied in that way "cause i told him he was mansplaining". nah, i didnt even see that post of yours saying so. really i was reacting to the implication of grue's post, which irritated me. you didn't really have anything to do with it, frankly. this is a simple practical truth- if you cant accept that, you will not be able to go very far in life

also, tyler and i have known each other for 10 years. i like him a lot, we speak privately. i havent spoken to him all that much in the recent past but i know him enough to know what he was trying to say and felt he was being ignored for what he was actually asking. we talked a bit about it more today, i know he didnt need me to speak for him but i felt its what id do as a friend because he was frustrated
