I think Rick's speech about being smart was a load of shit and that it's impossible for me to buy that Beth is even close to being that smart after she gets tricked by anybody about anything almost every episode

I also think the gimmick about Morty being stupid is a colossal fuck-up because he keeps doing smart things, especially in the new season 

In general the show's retarded view on intelligence is its worst part, with it practically assuming that inconsiderate asshole = smart and emotionally mature = stupid

and why are we analyzing a cartoon this hard, there is zero reason to apply any realism to animation of this nature. the pickle rick episode makes zero logical sense, even for the r&m universe. applying logic to rick and morty is like applying cologne to a turd, it wont smell any better and its still a turd

I really liked the editing of the fights between Good Rick and Toxic Rick, that episode threw out wacky new gadgets at a super fast pace, with no explanation on what they do, yet I understand them immediately with a single watch

It's not about realism as much as it's about internal consistency. If it sets characters up in one way and then backpedals over itself again and again for plot convenience or to make a stupid point about saddling the universe it'll just end up less funny and engaging 

At least we can always rely on Jerry to be consistent, god bless him
