I've been around high friends more times than I can store in my chastity belt and it always seemed like the most depressing kind of fun available to man. They flail around like muppets and need someone to change their diapers (metaphorically speaking). It's like a concept of entertainment where you stick a pin in your cerebellum because it makes you walk funny. Or the drugs where I live just hit harder

How did they study the effect of acid on openness? did the scientists make people grade their hatred of homosexuals on a scale of 1 to 10 before and after they popped it? this is completely unrelated but it sounds a bit bias-y.

And noone answered apart from being mildly irritated. i ain't judging, i just genuinely want people to explain what they get out of it because it looks very unappealing when observed from outside.

it feels good. it literally triggers your brain's pleasure center or something. it makes you laugh at dumb things, it creates a space-time void wherein your day-to-day stresses and burdens just don't matter as much. and yeah, you see things differently - literally, it messes with your brain. for a lot of people that helps put shit in perspective.

you don't have to do drugs to enjoy things but you also don't have to not do drugs sooooo... people just do

for me alcohol is relaxing, for example. if im drinking it means i have free time, and im doing something for myself absolutely, noone but me is important, and i need that sometimes. me time. even if surrounded by people, a cool beer is my safe space
