do u actually? i feel like 2 was the high point of the series and 1 is so poorly optimized that when i played it on a console for the first time as opposed to on pc like usual it felt like pulling teeth

a lot of ppl i know prefer mass effect 1 but i agree with you, mass effect 1 was AMAZING the first time i played it but after playing mass effect 2 and 3 i literally can't play through 1 again, the combat feels so weird and clunky. like it was a cool unique system at the time but i don't think it aged well, especially after having played the later games with improved systems.

it's like the witcher 1, i thought its combat system was fucking awesome when i first played it, it was unique and more engaging than just mashing your mouse button repeatedly to kill an enemy but then the witcher 2 came out and i was like oh okay i guess this game is just better with a more standard combat system.
