jamie is now a full time web developer in her own right.
"It's a long road but right now I'm making a very good living," she says. "My husband has to do everything. I do a little bit of everything but when he's not here doing it, I'd have to help out in the kitchen."
"I just want people to know that it's a very good job," she adds. "You can make a good living doing this, and I've been lucky because my husband doesn't want me to work less than 10 hours a week anymore."
While she would love to go to New York City every week, "I would never go to the New York media bubble ever again," she says. She says she's also heard that many women in the field are considering moving to the Silicon Valley, adding, "You gotta respect how much money I'm making."
In addition to the money, she is paid on time every payday by a freelance agency, which gives her some flexibility when it comes to scheduling.
