your takeaway of wanting those folks to form a new party is funny because i think that's what happened to the republicans in response to the tea party... and i dont think itll actually solve anything, here. just make it worse
those folks you mentioned are ALSO demagogues that promise "really super duper cool stuff, totes" with little legitimacy. the kinds of people that do know how to make things happen (regardless of the strength of their policy beliefs or ethics) are people like pelosi and mcconnell, who are super good at the actual effective politics. i think we need more of those people who have learned these lessons but without having to sell their souls to the devil (soros, koch, bilderburg group, xenu) and can stand up and fight, not just push the blame onto others
this hits on a bigger issue that i think crops of constantly of individual responsibility- we've all abdicated it. we could shut facebook down tomorrow if we all stopped going there, but we know deep down that nobody ELSE would do it with us so why should we bother trying. instead lets get big daddy government in to do the dirty work for us, right? i know this implies some slip into arachnocapitalist weird bitcoin libertarian pot smoking nutjob territory but i dont think we HAVE to take it there. i think its about time we all stop being cynical about how shitty everyone else is, stop assuming the worst of everything everyone's ever said, and actually do stuff
why fight all the little battles the right way when we get put all our eggs in the mueller basket? why actually hash out policy when we can stand behind people like AOC and call it a day? sure, the machine sucks, but if i just say that it sucks and keep feeding it i will rest easy knowing im part of the #resistance
