this isnt a school memory but a few months back i took a bus into the city to go to a job interview but the bus on the way back got delayed
the bus previous to it was delayed off the board- that is, instead of saying "delayed 1 hr" it just disappeared... there was no eta. a ton of people were crying and screaming to the customer service people over the phone, because it was a intra-state bus and some folk were stranded there from like four states away
so when i saw that my bus was delayed i was worried it would turn into a similar situation. i waited for like an hour and a half with two other people, one was a guy who was taking that bus through my town into tulsa and the other was a woman who had come to the city to take an ASL (american sign language) certification test
she was also going back to my town so we agreed at that point to just split an uber ($70 between two people) and for the full hour ride i asked her like 1000 questions about her vocation and life choices
