ok playin now
i happened to not look at any of the pokemon or the weird alolan forms (except basic starters and the two legendaries that are on the boxes obv). my #1 question so far: why is this weasel so pissed off
in any case my review is: tony is moderately right that the QoL is really great, however it is a result of an overarching (underlying?) hand-holding that i really hate. the game feels, so far, like im chasing after a series of checkpoints and people who wont leave me alone. it seems like every way EXCEPT the way im supposed to go is blocked off
also i usually play one of these with a certain ruleset (last game, it was: no pokemon id used before, one from each generation, single-type only, stage-1s only (team was: ninetales, umbreon, manectric, mismagius, beartic, gogoat)) and i want to only use new pokemon, at very least.... but the only ones ive seen are woodpecker and Pissed Off Weasel + the boxing crab that i accidentally killed. and the starters
