it seems like it's adding up several different polls across the country into a big graph, not sure though

any poll whatsoever is shit
sample size: says it right on the image. the size of the dot refers to around 1, 3, 6, 11, and 16k people sample groups: standard operating procedure is to call a number of people and ask what they would do in a voting situation number of polls: there are raw polls, but i believe those are aggregate polls (a weighted average according to the difference in size of the constituent polls) what areas: i assume some statistical dispersion

you ask people, you get numbers. you plot the numbers on the graph and you fit a line to it. the statistics are usually a-ok, but if your complaint is that polling is inherently lame then i cant disagree
that being said, this is how they do it all the time and so you can at least look at it from the context of what we have seen generally

No survey or poll has ever asked me a single thing. Did you know 87% of statistics are made up on the spot?

nah ben, "i assume" and "i believe" aren't really the answers im looking for here
those polls never mean anything because different areas and different segments of the population have (generally) wild variance in their candidate of choice and if you're not equally representing every large group in the country then ur poll, like i said, means nothing. especially when it's "what would you do in a voting situation" bc not all the ppl they asked are actually voting.

08-03-2016, 09:20 AM

no i only do it to the ones who cant read (why would you ask what the sample size is.......... its right on the image)
08-03-2016, 08:50 PM
anyway ok sorry theres hardly contention here, polls suck but its what we got so im givin it. pls talk about election things sorry

yes ben im absolutely going to count every single dot of every single size and add them all up to find the overall sample size as im absolutely sure you did
