Stranger Things [Netflix]

Any of you nerds watching this yet? 


It's a nice poltergeist-esque Speilberg influenced show about people going missing in a small town, a Laboratory that develops experimental weapons, and a girl named "Eleven" that connects them all. 

I've watched 3 episodes so far and absolutely love it. It's superbly acted and the score is simple but effective at setting the tone. There's legitimately creepy moments, and I am excited to continue watching more of it.

The Typography of Stranger Things

I put on episode 1 around noon and watched all 8 nonstop until about an hour ago, fucking hell man this show is great

does anyone know if season 2 will pick up where 1 leaves off (i.e. Chapter 9) or will it be a whole new tale & time altogether, kinda like American Horror Story?

it has the same cast, most information at this point eludes to a direct sequel story

finished it a couple days ago. I don't have much criticism of it honestly. it was just a good god damn show. I think there were a couple times I questioned whether or not a character would decide to do what they did (or didn't do), but other than that it was great.

what I'm most happy about is that no one died for some cheap ineffective attempt at an emotional response. stuff like that really bothers me. it's lazy as hell and they didn't do that. I guess it WAS predictable that 11 was going to die,

but I don't really think predictability in this case was necessarily a bad thing at all. I like shows or episodes of shows that revolve around kids, and all these kids were bad ass.

So I just finished the season, unfortunately there are unmarked spoilers above, so I knew what was going to happen (even if it was predictable) so that sucked, but the ending was awesome, that shit rocked.
