also just for the sake of any poor unfortunate audience reading this thread, id say my top 10 favorite things includes soviet russian history and while i did learn the kinds of simple things youre saying in 9th grade, i was one of the few arguing pro-soviet points in my 11th grade course and in 12th we focused more on china/cuba and i dont really remember much about that anyway
my point being that that was a weird tree up which to bark. what history courses did niki graduate with? oh, wait and just in case this sounds like anti-pandering, i do happen to think that the soviet involvement in WWII made it leaps and bounds easier for the allies to win and that idea was so threatening to the US that it made the transition into the cold war really easy

i love how you also basically state history classes teach inaccurate propaganda and then imply that me not taking history classes amounts to me not knowing actual history lol... the self contradiction of it all

this would be a joke if our dictator at the time wasn't literally in cahoots with both sides lmao talk about a win-win*
*people were tortured and killed for opposing the regime but other than that, the massive killing of negroes and the widespread poverty we won the war

now that im rereading what i wrote i realize "both sides"
right, people who aren't american or i guess russian? kinda feel like it was a world war so there were the allies and the axis, everyone played a part (except portugal lmao) I mean sure you can forget the french resistance and the UK and Australia but should you really? probably not

People discuss the French Resistance, but it was nowhere near the magnitude of those Serbians and forgotten. People think the USSR won the war, people think the USA won the war. Shouldn't be discussing WHO but WHAT won the war.
