that's weird that they don't show up when plugged in. definitely sounds like an audio driver thing but honestly I don't know. I assume you're just using your mobo built in soundcard or whatever, so maybe try and find your mobo online and look for the updated audio drivers

Yeah, I use the headphone jack, and nah it doesn't mute the speakers.

Thanks for this, it updated a bunch of drivers, actually.  (Doesn't fix the headphone problem but still)
