this past weekend i left an entire unopened box of cookies on the bus

i traded my copy of pokemon sapphire to a friend who killed himself and i dont think im getting it back

i could have swore i owned the base set mewtwo but its gone now

I'm trying to think of anything I've lost that was important at all. can't really think of anything. truth is I just don't have many material possessions that would crush me if I lost, and the ones I do care about, other than my ipod, stay in the house. like all my cooking stuff.

I do remember one time I was flying to utah, stopped in denvers airport for a couple hours, used the payphone with my credit card, and I left my wallet with like 600 in cash just sitting there next to the phone. I went to take a shit, realized my right ass cheek was a lot lighter than it usually is and I had to think where I left it. somehow it was exactly where I'd left it despite the airport being pretty busy that day. that would have been really bad because it was most of my travel money and I would have been stuck in utah for two weeks with nothing.

OH when I was younger, around 15, our whole block had a yard sale type thing and I put some baseball cards I didn't care about out for sale. some old guy bought them. I am pretty sure I accidentally put the ones I DID care about in that same case the old guy bought. and there were some pretty decent ones that are probably worth a fair amount of money now. I stopped caring about baseball cards but that one stings a little, and I still haven't come across those, so I assume they're gone.

most things that i've lost were donated or thrown away by my parents as i got older, and while I remember them fondly i wouldn't say i'm heartbroken about most of it. things like old stuffed animals or cool shirts or my pokemon cards.

one cool shirt was a very worn original rage against the machine shirt. it was red, had the band name on the front and a molotov on the back. couple holes, i think mom tossed it.

i recently gave away the last lighter that erika and i bought, it had a pickle on it. it was taken at a party so people could do bong rips. in a way that was cathartic

i currently have a silver quarter i found on new years eve that i carry around, and i like to have it as a little token when i need to make a decision but dont care enough to actually put any thought into it (aka where do i wanna eat tonight, x or y)

Was in Rome and a gypsy (like actual Romanian) took my bag off the train which had my passport in it. I was staying at that time in an apartment with a couple of American guys so we decided to take our mind of it by going to every major monument and drinking a bottle of wine at each one.

If I lost my hearing aids I'd be deaf, pretty much never let them out of my sight (I take 'em off when exercising or sleeping)
