Pre-emptive Apocalypse Thread (trump edition) [OFFICIAL]
yes of course

but I was watching live as all the powers "in check" stood powerless as the US fabricated WMDs and used doctored photos to invade Iraq, depose its government and take its resources while establishing internment camps

this was all under international condemnation, a veritable "illegal" war

so the powers "in check" mean jack shit unfortunately

so again why would I trust the USA with nuclear weapons more than I trust the DPRK

it's not due to its history with democracy and fairness under the rule of law; it's not due to its history of effective warfare (see diehard's post)

truthfully and considering the circumstances the DPRK have a "right" to keep nuclear weapons for self defense. it's a shitfest of a right and it is unly applicable considering the history of the USA to bully countries around - the facct is that the DPRK's threats of violence have been keeping it free from invasion for all these years

i can see your point
personally i think the less nukes there are the better but who knows

I would rather no nukes at all they're a millitary atrocity

Fun fact: the eastern European view on North Korea is so different from the American one that increasing numbers of people are vacationing there because it's actually much easier and safer than getting into the USA / UK

But I'm not very happy about any additional nukes in the world. Especially in a country with a well established dictatorship, because those tend to leave quite a big power vacuum once something goes wrong.

Russia, Belarus, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq (shifted heavily away from the US), Houthis (Shia Yemen rebels fighting the KSA wahhabbists) and Iran are in the same boat. DPRK sent supplies and technical support to help Syria.

You cannot say that Russia is an imperial force when they're the only western power that cares about fighting terrorism, instead of funding Al-Qaeda (USA, KSA, Jordan, Israel) and ISIS (KSA, Al-Qaeda [people claim they're fighting each other, but they've been launching coordinated attacks with the Da'esh against the SAA, even had ISIS members trapped in a pocket sent there as a relocation agreement]). Syria is a multi-ethic country, with Iranian, Lebanese and Iraqi militas all helping to protect the Druze, Christians, Shia, Sunni, Turkmen, Greeks, Ismailis, Kurds (not the proxies that are claiming the north of Syria with the help of an invasion force [USA, they've built over 10 bases illegally on Syrian soil]) Yazidiz and yes, even Jews.

All of these countries want stability, because destabilization is what Israel wants. They have been bombing syria, civilian targets, claiming that they're "targeting Hezbollah", with impunity. If they did not have nuclear weapons, there would have been a war after the first strike. But since Syria nor Iran has them, america's strongest ally can waltz around the ME doing whatever the hell they want, bombing sovereign nations killing civilians for pathetic reasons.

Stalin killed millions of people under his rule. Hitler killed millions of people under his rule. The USA killed millions of people. I cannot deny that Stalin killed his people. I cannot deny that communism in the mid 20th century was horribly done. This is just the fact of life, people die because of a minorities position in government. There is no black and white, it is all grey.

Right before the 2nd Iraq war, Iraq switched from the Dollar to the Euro.

Right before the Libyan "revolution", Libya switched to gold backed money.

The US isn't a power that keeps countries in check, it's an oligarchy that forces everyone to abide by their economic strategy or they get overthrown. If everyone in the world uses their currency, they will have an economic stranglehold against every single country, and can decide if millions live or die.

lenin too, his orders to establish fear ended in the death of minorities everywhere. Communists were still very racist and sexist, despite being miles ahead of others still
