I have legitimately thought about going to my friends church to meet people
I'm not a social expert but I wouldn't go anywhere with the specific purpose of meeting people. instead, I'd go somewhere because I like that thing, and people will be in your life naturally. ie if the church is of interest to you, that's fine, but if you're just there to make friends then... I mean, you're not interested in the same things those people are, what kind of friends do you expect to make

it's a non-denominational church and I played D&D with the pastor, it's really far away which is why I haven't gone

it used to bug me a lot but i've mostly managed to convince myself that online friends are fine too, i have plenty of those.
technically i've met john, tiernan, matt and erika in real life too so that counts??
online friends absolutely count like... i interact with my irl friends mostly online. u can still communicate and form emotional bonds w ppl. there's no reason they wouldn't count and the concept of separating the internet from Real Life™ is absurd.
If I could, I would visit any of you nerds on a regular occasion or at least harass you nerds to do things
that way I can be active at the same times enjoying each others company, I'm starting to get cabin fever

This may be off-topic, I'm quite bad at navigating this board.
In my youth, I've never considered I could one day become overweight.
Sure, I wasn't exactly a jock back in my school days, and I always realized my kind of lifestyle wouldn't lead to developing a perfect physique. But I never imagined it would come to this.
Love for 'delicious', and an insatiable passion for Chinese beer have turned a once skinny white boy into an unpleasantly plump stack of bitterness and anger. The guy who never had trouble finding a date back in highschool has become insecure to the point that he has trouble referring to himself in the first person on an internet forum.
What do you think, spame? Are love, sex and success privileges destined to thin people? Or do I just need to regain my lost confidence?
Please don't suggest getting in shape, I'm not giving up on the Chinese beer in any foreseeable future.
Thank you all

I don't know anyone who does, luckily.
But I'll agree he's fat and ugly

So the only feedback for a well thought post is a complete misinterpretation of my original message. I guess you're all too thin and privileged to understand the struggle.
And Grue, nobody will make fun of you for being on tindr because the people who can see who's on tindr have to be using the app themselves.
Of course if you look like Action Bronson you're likely to get laughed at and rejected by 99% of the users who aren't spambots, but you're quite unlikely to be made fun of FOR simply using tinder
don't date out of your league you're fat and ugly now and no longer in high school

ok finally someone talking some sense.
The concept of "league" is quite subjective though, do you suggest I start trying to date fat or ugly women?
Maybe both?
