- the "like" field should no longer be discolored. this was fixed miraculously in a general update
- that same update broke the order of the buttons so that it took up two lines with like, quote, reply, etc. i fixed that too
- i fixed this a while ago, but that alerts box you get when you check alerts is centered again. proud of that one
- there are new icons and titles and they're more sensible now
- fixed the broken image links on my rank
- there's a new default avatar. i might change this again if i get a better idea of what it should be
- fixed the smileys thing extending into the post box. i spent more than an hour trying to scale all the smileys to 32px in the preview, only to realize i could just change the smiley order so that the biggest ones are way at the end. this means all our great, giant smileys are still present you just have to open the thing to look for em. yippee

- now I get notified whenever someone posts in a thread that I replied to; I don't see the point in this so I turned it off, but it highlighted a bigger problem:

- though it's nice to have alerts for whenever someone interacts with my posts, so that if someone quotes me I'll see it rather than miss it, every alert "type" comes with its own line;

- and due to how alerts are set up, in order to bring alerts back to 0 (ensuring that I don't miss it if a new alert comes on), I can't just simply click one or browse the thread where the alert happened, or check a box. I have to open every single Alert, or delete the alerts that I have (which kind of defeats the point of adressing a quote);

- so in the end, this is what I'm faced with:

- the "main site" is live. i went from knowing 1% about web design to about 5% and made my own front page to the website. i do not know how the fuck to make things look ok on mobile but im workin on it. things should generally be centered and simplistic

- the purpose of the main site is to host different content in each square. the size of the square will in theory (eventually) correspond to quantity/quality of the content it links to (right now thats out the window because there aint shit)

- currently, the only original content is the "NTR" podcast as hosted by myself and @grue. there are some 10+ episodes up now and ready for your ears and lobes. also spame is there, so in theory if some poor fool likes what's happening here well enough he can find this place and destroy it from the inside. if you have something cool, let me know about it somehow. i really do not give a care, fucker, what it is

- the "HOME" button on the top bar now brings you to the main site, and FORUM (or clicking the spame logo) leads you to the forum index


in smaller news:

- i added nine thread tags as created by risbolla. see if you can spot them all!

- i fixed the alerts thing overlap problem in the anime forum, as well as some colors that werent properly anime-fied in the palette swap (er, uh, i mean, careful and deliberate crafting of a new and unique theme)

ALSO I SHOULD MENTION that we seem to be getting a lot of adbots now. maybe one or two a day. it isnt a big deal because they are being banned (by mostly risbolla thank you) and i can delete them very, very quickly. but its making me reconsider the, no verification at all thing]]>

there is now a notification (alerts) system. they will trigger when:

-you get a like for a post (it will tell you who and for what)
-someone quotes you
-someone changes your rep
-someone posts in a subscribed thread (you can subscribe to a thread at the very bottom of a page. ive never used the feature but it works now i guess)

there is now also a tag/mention system. just like on the proboards forum you can put an @ in front of someone's name like @ben. these things are compatible and you will also get an alert if you are mentioned

the alert button is at the top. its kinda ugly and doesnt fit into the other buttons but it will be that way until i can understand how to integrate it better

i also reverted a previous change which was to force the :care: tag on all posts. i did this so that all threads would have thread tags but then it ended up sticking to thread replies as well which is lame. so now, just please be mindful of selecting a thread tag]]>
