great banging intro track. straight in, no messing around.
great vocals on track 2, that long note halfway though must have taken some practice.
track 3 sounds like it could have been written by Rush. great vocal harmonies.
that bass solo on track 4 though fucking hell, funky or what. great samples at the start and finish. had you recently listened to Walk this Way when you came up with the drum intro?
track 5 is basically a political rap. always awake. woke. nothing we haven't heard before in terms of lyrics
track 6 is a slightly jarring intro, but fine. Joe Satriani kinda vibe. the "yuns" could fade out slightly slower if you ask me, i'd layer a bunch of effects on it too until it distorts itself into the tv static sound from the end of distraction and fade out with that.
great job with the midi drums btw.
I like it. Considering it was written entirely by you, you never let it get self indulgent. if it was on spotify it would definitely worm its way into my "on repeat" playlist

AND THE NOMINEES FOR CHARLIEH'S FAVOURITE SONG ON THE ALBUM ARE:
2. Villain By Necessity
3. Metropolis
6. The Union
And the winner is:
METROPOLIS! the judges loved the feel of the acoustic guitar layered in throughout the track giving it an ever so slightly prog rock feel and a nice full sound.
Thank you all for attending the first spame awards now fuck off the lot of you we've only got this place booked until 9pm they've got a gay porn convention in here tomorrow and they need all night to set up their 30ft statue of two men engaged in a rusty trombone. GOOD NIGHT!

heh, you dork
but i'll certainly indulge because its praise directed toward, very glad you enjoy it! Metropolis is a fun little song to play (for me) so im glad others dig it too. the music is basically my love letter to Pete Townsend, listened to a lot of The Who at the time i wrote that

I hate this album because the music sucks
I'm feelin' it! I'm definitely hearing some RHCP and RATM in this stuff. I like "Always Awake" the most. Solid stuff dude!
