She was pretty great. She talked about mental health issues openly, in times where the stigma around them was prohibitive, as well as completely redefining the popular role of the 'princess' in a story. 

She died on my birthday, which kind of sucked, but I went to see Rogue One and while I was bummed out about her death, she turned to the screen and said 'hope'. Carrie Fisher; she always knew what to say to darkness.
