When were you when the UK was kill? - Spastic - 06-24-2016 So "brexit" won, Cameron resigned, the EU is probably fucked, and the UK might just be the United England soon. 2016 is gonna be a fucking crazy year once we elect trump, everyone hold on to your butts. RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Gorilla Tits - 06-25-2016 Braveheart 2: electric votealoo RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Ben - 06-25-2016 i think the most interesting aspect is the loss of the PM is there any actual UK spamers still around to discuss this RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - grue - 06-25-2016 https://twitter.com/GoogleTrends/status/746303118820937728 RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Ben - 06-25-2016 ok serious question: so the vote was like, 52/48 or something. 53/47, whatever i know its rough but maybe we should have to fight past a standard deviation or two, right? i mean, if you redid the vote in a parallel universe where everyone in the UK woke up a second later, the vote would (statistically) change maybe to the other side. +2 or +3 are not very wide margins, is what im saying RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - fat lesbian - 06-25-2016 im not sure why my post was deleted when i genuinely believe the uk should be disbanded and scotland and wales liberated and this is the first step towards it RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Ben - 06-25-2016 because a pithy statement about it is nowhere near as contributory as what you just said RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - fat lesbian - 06-25-2016 the original post talked about this potentially being the beginning of the end for the uk and you could have gleaned all the context i used in the second post from that but o k RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - grue - 06-25-2016 (06-25-2016, 03:20 AM)Ben Wrote: ok serious question: so the vote was like, 52/48 or something. 53/47, whatever honestly the uk is wacky because they have unelected lords with veto power but I don't know if this applies to a referendum. everyone is treating it as a definite thing, though, so I assume a simple majority can make structural changes in the country? can you vote out the queen? yeah we really need a brit here RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Ben - 06-25-2016 after a long meditation on the subject i have come to the important realization that "brexit" likely stands for "british exit". im glad this point of contention has been solved in my mind also
RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Delirious Biznasty - 06-25-2016 Death to the perfidious albion is all I am up for. Can't wait until the global market crash, thank god for disability. RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - Urser - 06-25-2016 RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - grue - 06-25-2016 http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/24/petition-second-eu-referendum-crashes-house-of-commons-website People are asking for a re-run because it feels like the brits had no idea of what they were getting themselves into. Scotland and Northern Ireland make a point of staying in the EU and since the UK is leaving, they will leave the UK so they can apply to the EU. Meanwhile, Nigel "Crazypants" Farage has pretty much admitted that he doesn't care about the meaning of the words coming out of his mouth (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-result-nigel-farage-nhs-pledge-disowns-350-million-pounds-a7099906.html). The rest of the EU is regrouping so the brits get out as soon as possible, and the backlash so far seems to affect the UK much more than it does the EU (as I assumed it would). RE: When were you when the UK was kill? - grue - 06-25-2016 Demographic breakdown of the vote. Kinda surprised that the oldest choose to leave, tbh. Historically the brits usually side with europe, I guess all the muslims made them think .
