#5 weekly sales thread - grue - 05-18-2016 This thread is meant for the sharing of sweet, tasty cheap stuff. Keep the more in-depth games discussion to the "What Are You Playing This Month" thread. I don't want the threads to become redundant, and this weekly sales thing will only continue if you guys show any interest in it - if not, I'll just can it. Anyway, if you know something, share it itt. The threads are weekly because the steam sales are weekly. Possible sources of items on sale: http://store.steampowered.com/ https://www.gog.com/ http://www.greenmangaming.com/ https://www.humblebundle.com My picks: The Witcher is on a mega sale on Steam. You can buy the three games for like $30 and The Witcher (1) can be bought for $2. Braid is 50% off on GoG. I mean, it's a nice game. Bit overhyped in my opinion. Humble Bundle "Deep Silver" wherein you can get all the Saints Row's for $15. The downside is that it supports the Lions Club, and I always thought they were a bit shady. There's also a Capcom Humble Bundle going on, but I don't know how good the games. Edit: ARE. How good the games are. RE: #5 weekly sales thread - Relaps - 05-18-2016 i liked braid - it had a nice mechanic and for the time was very innovative, though other games have taken it to whole other levels by now. the capcom pack has Bionic Commando Rearmed, which is really really good, a perfect update of the original NES bionic commando. It's not the 3D webslinger with the dreadlocks. (however, that version is in the over $10 package) - Also, 30% off dragon's dogma, which is great. Risbolla can hook u up with phat lootz RE4 is in the $10+ pack, and it's amazing. I need not say more. more than 15 has DMC 4 (meh) and RE6 (meh) RE: #5 weekly sales thread - risbolla - 05-18-2016 witchers really good all of the games RE: #5 weekly sales thread - grue - 05-18-2016 is RE4 that good? I stopped caring after, well, after ps1 RE: #5 weekly sales thread - Relaps - 05-18-2016 RE4 was a Gamechanger for the series. It has its slightly clunky controls but if you haven't seen or played any of it you might enjoy it. It's 3rd person RE: #5 weekly sales thread - Tyler_Legrand - 05-18-2016 I got Witcher 1 and 2 for free on GOG.com during some promotions a while ago ![]() Speaking of Capcom, the Phoenix Wright games are for sale on the Nintendo estore if you care (the DS trilogy and 3DS game) RE: #5 weekly sales thread - fat lesbian - 05-18-2016 the witcher makes me uncomfortable all weird dad fantasy does RE: #5 weekly sales thread - bsleazy - 05-20-2016 (05-18-2016, 10:08 AM)Relaps Wrote: RE4 was a Gamechanger for the series. It's 3rd person Can't agree with this statement more, because the only RE game I had played before was Code Veronica, and Resident Evil 4 blew my fucking mind. RE: #5 weekly sales thread - Ben - 05-20-2016 i hear often that re4 is one of the best "modern" games there has been. im not a huge fan of survival horror or any of that, but there is no denying that that is a good bundle whether you end up loving the games or not RE: #5 weekly sales thread - Ben - 05-20-2016 i just bought it btw its $10 for several highly acclaimed games idk why you wouldnt RE: #5 weekly sales thread - bsleazy - 05-20-2016 That's how my Steam library got so large. Dealz n stealz. RE4 did all the things I wanted a Horror-Action (more action than survival for 4(not a bad thing) ) to do. |
