i very much enjoyed borderlands 2 because it had better environments and guns and bl1 was boring desert shit

triggered yet.... ben???? :-) *tiops foredore*

borderlands 2 was superior in terms of gameplay and mostly superior right up until your first playthrough of the game was done. the legendary grind is obnoxious as shit and it didn't hold any of the end game "charm" that borderlands 1 had

day 1 of hearthstone - finally did some matches against players once I got home. I have a few wins now, i even beat a deck that had a lot of money put into it, and a few close calls. i feel like my wins came from getting good draws and i'm realizing thats really just how this shit goes, for any tcg.

i definitely feel like my deck is stronger now after a few packs.

I didn't like how they changed the drop rate at all in 2

that completely ruined the game for me

Yeah it feels like the gun system is entirely different and doesn't work as well as the first game. Get less epics and uniques and guns that are actually good. And the brands work differently

The humour is (often) good though. stop being so sensitive. Claptrap and Fat Ellie are fine. though it is a lot more in-your-face than BL1

BL never had a good story so the characters returning is a nonissue. They are strangely awkward though. But handsome jack is a great villain so I'll see how the plot holds together

was was your favorite joke? was it when they said boner?

my complaint about returning characters was not that the characters were boring and therefore even more so boring, my complaint is that youre on the second game and already relying on references/nostalgia instead of just making a new package free of old shit

i don't see why returning characters is such a big red flag or means theyre 'relying' on it

no one cared about those characters in the first game anyway theyre just faceless goons

because it's lazy. really, really lazy

they started to make a new story. new characters, new stuff. they could have kept going but didnt? youre right, they are faceless and BL2 could have just had even more brand new characters to fill the roles that the old characters did. why not?

i dont believe it to be too cynical to say, because it's something people are familiar with and recognize. and that's lazy. if your brain is wired to meme-status and cannot handle new information (and thus you rely on repeated stimulation of the same thing over and over) then go watch the new alvin and the chipmunks movie

RE: First Inaugural 'What Are You Playing This Month' thread - Delirious Biznasty - 04-29-2016

a big red flag for me was the trailer for the game

big is an understatement for what I felt when I watched it
