it seems like with that decision and the skyrim thing they are trying to push the switch back into the "race" of "legitimate" consoles which is a mistake if so imvho

The long awaited remake of Sonic 2006 is finally coming!!

the switch is really cool zelda is so good FUCK

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Tyler_Legrand - 03-04-2017

In Australia, the color version of the Switch doesn't come out until April, so I got the new Zelda limited edition, but I'm not getting the Switch until next month, am I crazy

RE: The Nintendo Switch - fat lesbian - 03-05-2017

is there any reason i should get this except for zelda which is also on the wii u which I have and tastes normal

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Tempest - 03-08-2017

so after a handful of days playing Zelda on the Switch I think that I feel quantified in giving a very haphazard review of the switch itself

i will say first off that the joycons are very small but as someone who is 6'3" and fat i have fucking huge hands and they are actually super comfortable even in my mighty mitts. it comes with the controller grip but tbh after the first few hours i stopped using it. the right joycon's joystick is directly under the face buttons, instead of being offset to the left of them like say an xbox controller

i find this to be insanely uncomfortable when held in standard controller style: it's REALLY hard to transition your thumb because it's not natural. with the joycons out of the grip though, it's easy to just tilt the controller slightly so that you can make the transition easier. also, being able to rest both arms on the armrests of my chair and continue to play the game is not something i knew i wanted until i had it, now it's fucking indispensable

that being said, the Switch is a video game console and literally nothing else right now. it is highly feature incomplete: as far as i know there is no online multiplayer yet (which kind of makes sense, since none of the launch titles have online multiplayer), but there's also next to no functionality. the "eshop" is basically a webpage where you can click on a title to buy a digital copy. you can add friends but there is nothing to do with them. you can view their profile and remove them, you can't even message them. the console performs really well in my experience: it looks gorgeous and switching from TV to Tablet and back is completely seamless; as soon as you remove the tablet from the dock, sound and video switches to it without a hitch. i have not had any of the myriad tech issues other people seem to be having, and neither has matterialize, who has been playing even more zelda than me on his. my joycon has had zero desync issues, there's no scratching of my screen by the dock, no dead pixels, no freezing, i'm not a big enough FUCKIN IDIOT to put the joycon wriststraps on upside down, and it has been very solid for me so far.

if you reaaaaaaaally wanted a Switch I would say it is worth getting right now, but to be honest if you're on the fence, unless you REALLY want to play Zelda on the Switch instead of the Wii U i don't know if i'd recommend buying it right now.

for real though if you can't figure out how to put the wriststraps on right with this impossible to misinterpret guide you might be more suited for an etch-a-sketch than a $300 video game console

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Urser - 03-08-2017

etch a sketch suffered from lack of third party developers

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Urser - 03-08-2017

also maybe people just dont naturally assume that cheap hunks of plastic arent interchangeable

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Relaps - 03-09-2017

zelda plays just fine on wiiu

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Gorilla Tits - 03-09-2017

RE: The Nintendo Switch - Urser - 03-09-2017

ill concede that fps isnt really an issue in an adventure game but holy hell thats bad
