So the free game for ps4 this month is NBA 2k16. I'm playing the "my story" mode and holy shit, this is the worst story mode I ever played. First of all its a fucking spike Lee joint, I ain't even making this shit up, it's called living da dream by spike Lee. I made my player and no matter what you have a black family and you sound like Jay z, it's hilarious you even have a twin sister. So I'm this 6'3 white shooting guard born of two black people under 6 foot tall and my twin black sister is like 5'2.
Every white character is the white devil, the team owner is a white devil, your agent is a white devil, there is no white character who is not a white devil.
They call it my story but your nickname no matter what is fucking frequency vibrations, and they call you freq. You don't even make any choices besides what school you go to. You're also ghetto as fuck no matter what, your black parents and black sister and black best friend all tell you to remember "the hood" while your white devil agent tells you it's all about the skrilla but your black parents will tell you money isn't everything, don't listen to the white devils.
I don't even understand what the hell the people are saying half the time, it's all mumbo jumbo, it's so bizarre and hilarious.

Started replaying Lunar 2 on PSX shit is still good but I think I remember the turn based combat being better than it was, while not bad it's not as "revolutionary" as I thought it used to be. Nothing beats FFX battle system yet.

I never played any Paper Mario games, so I bought the N64 version for Wii U VC during the sale
I like the way buildings unfold when you go in them (wow! I can go indoors and outdoors with no load times! N64 is amazing!)
I like the UI, it's extremely simple to swap teammates on the go with a minimum of fuss, for example. I wish I had C buttons though.
I really like the emerging complexity. At first, Mario's main attacks don't really have different outcomes, but of course later on the fun creeps in when you realise their differences and make decisions on which is the best option
So now I have more insight into why people are upset about the new paper marios if indeed they took out the story and RPGness of the games

yeah i played the original (also have it on VC) as well as "super paper mario" for wii which is shit. it sucks. its the same paper gimmick but the combat (which was so cool before) isnt there
TYD is also beloved i believe though i never played it. my siblings did and they really liked whatever dungeon thing that was in it

tbh i've been really busy with a few specific games so i haven't been playing much, i'm trying to finish up final fantasy tactics A2 on my DS because i never finished it before, and i've been playing lots of Overwatch. plus my internet and power has been really wonky lately.

so I played a game of hearthstone last night against a certain man fellow '@Tyler_Legrand'
