at least you were able to pinpoint the moment you fucked up

RE: Dating & Relationships - risbolla - 07-14-2017

wow ur game is hella weak if u dont know ur not supposed to tell her shes not ur first choice i have played enough dating sims to know that

RE: Dating & Relationships - narcissa - 07-14-2017

What fucking input do u need when u said to a person that u are insecure and took on the advice of lowering ur standards after asking them out u should count urself lucky she didn't just throw anything at u and humiliated u right before leaving, she dodged a bullet there

Also u talk about society being fatphobic but even u consider dating an overweight person as 'lowering ur standards' so why the fuck do u expect anyone to be interested in u

I had a quite fat friend that always dates incredibly beautiful women so obviously a lot of people don't care but u do so either do sth about it or stop being a hypocritical fuck and treating people like disposable garbage that exists to fullfill ur needs and then be surprised when they walk out on u because gee what a gift u are

RE: Dating & Relationships - risbolla - 07-14-2017

did u think u can built a relationship on a foundation of honesty ? ur supposed to lie so much as possible to make urself look better like in seinfeld

RE: Dating & Relationships - TsingtaoBelly - 07-14-2017

Oh, if only you knew how many times I have to listen to "I have a fat friend..." arguments. I find them the most oppressive, it's you saying MY experiences and MY narrative are worthless.

But anyway back on topic, what you guys are trying to say is... I shouldn't give up on relationships?
Risbolla is making some sense quoting Seinfeld, but as much as I would gladly lie to my partner, I really don't think I could keep lying to myself in the long run...

RE: Dating & Relationships - grue - 07-14-2017

your trolling is slightly amusing but I won't have a thread overwhelmed by this, shit gets toxic very fast

RE: Dating & Relationships - TsingtaoBelly - 07-14-2017

This is gonna be a fairly long one so if you have any reading disability (I guess 50% of the spame users?), you can just skip this and go back to the fun drama.

Ok so a few days ago someone suggested I'd lower my standards and start dating chicks belonging to "my league", since that's what a 21st century fat man has to do, apparently.
I hooked up with this woman I used to go to school with, she was always hitting on me back in 2012 and a quick facebook inquiry proved she's been single ever since so I had reasons to believe she still had some feelings for me despite my newly developed fatness.
She's not fat, so I'm not sure she truly belongs to my league but I didn't want to aim too low already. She is average looking.
I hit her up on facebook and we chatted for a while, she was incredibly friendly (considering we didn't have any contact for the last 1 or 2 years) so I made my move and asked her out for dinner on Thursday.
The date started off quite nicely, we mostly talked about what we've been doing over these last years and reminisced about the school days.
At a certain point, mostly because my flirty intentions were starting to become quite obvious, I mentioned the fact that having gained weight had damaged my love life. I also admitted I had decided to lower my standards, following the advice of a friend.
As soon as I said that, the look on her face changed drastically. She sat in silence for a good thirty seconds, then told me it was getting late for her and rushed to pay for her meal without even letting me say goodbye in a proper way.
I tried reaching her on phone but it seems she's avoiding contact with me.

So there you have it, "lower your standards" is a pretty bad advice (albeit the best I got here so far).
I don't know why I even considered that to be honest, nobody wants to be a 2nd choice so I couldn't expect her to react any better than she did.
I guess I'll just have to settle with a life without a companion or even the occasional sex, but all things considered, there's more important things in life. If you're in a similar situation as mine, I suggest you follow my advice and focus on things other than relationships. Today's society despises fat people and there isn't enough time in a lifetime to change that (especially considering that for us obese people, clock's ticking a bit faster).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

RE: Dating & Relationships - TsingtaoBelly - 07-14-2017

What's so funny, the fact I referred to Kentucky Fried as a "friend''?

RE: Dating & Relationships - TsingtaoBelly - 07-14-2017

I couldn't admit I read it on an internet board, what would she think of me?

RE: Dating & Relationships - Delirious Biznasty - 07-14-2017

RE: Dating & Relationships - TsingtaoBelly - 07-14-2017

I once said something similar to an Israeli woman, but it was back when I was thin so I got laid anyway.
